KEEN young school cyclists turned out to welcome their heroes as the Tour of Britain swept through North Staffordshire.
Fifteen students had pedalled their way from Birches Head Academy to Hanley to cheer on the elite Tour of Britain riders.
They were joined by hundreds of other spectators as riders like Bradley Wiggins and Mark Cavendish pedalled through the streets of the city centre on the sixth stage of the tour.
