DRUG addict Andrew Rimes burgled a house while a couple and their three children were asleep in bed.
The 36-year-old, who has been using drugs since the age of 10, broke into a property in Moston Street, Birches Head, in the middle of the night.
But police soon tracked down the defendant and found some of the stolen property in his house.
Now Rimes – who has 22 previous convictions for 73 offences, including 23 house burglaries – has been jailed for 876 days.
